House of Fickle Queen Cookies



The lovely Emily from House of The Fickle Queen agreed to share her favourite cookie recipe with me - which I in turn have shared with you! Please let me know how you get on!

"So here is my fool proof, super adaptable cookie recipe! Seriously, you can add just about anything to them. Try using brown sugar and oats for a hob nob style bake; or rainbow sprinkles and icing sugar for a super sweet and smooth taste (and of course chocolate chips go without saying!) so here goes:

Ingredients:
100g marg/butter
100g sugar
30g golden syrup
150g self raising flour
1tsp vanilla essence
30-50g chosen flavour/added extras (30g for cocoa powder, 40-50g for chips, nuts, sprinkles etc)

Method:
1. Mix marg & sugar together until smooth, then add the golden syrup and combine.
2. Add half the flour, vanilla and extras and mix until smooth.
3. Add the rest of the flour and mix again.
4. Make into 12 - 15 balls and place on a greased/lined sheet.
5. Bake in preheated oven at Gas Mark 5 for 12 minutes (rotate the tray half way through) leave to cool

And there you have it! Awesome cookies!"
